MVIS Update

How about that. MVIS trading at nice levels today. Nothing within the company has changed except for the fact they have more money to work with. No where to go but up.

Check out what Mel Gibson did to 3 MVIS Shorts in the woods:

Crazy

So last night i'm waiting on a group of 5 guys in the bar at Mitchell's Slave Market. While taking care of the gentleman throughout the night I notice the topic of their conversation was the PGA Tour. Every time I went by their table I could hear them debating Tiger, Bubba, and Phil. Naturally, when I have a laid back table that likes to talk golf I share my Tiger Woods story with them. So that's what I did. However, this time was different. I didn't get the usual uproar of laughter followed by a series of questions. Instead, while telling my tale, the gentleman were just laughing to themselves and staring at each other across the table in disbelief. Something was up. So I asked them, "You guys from around here?". One of the gentleman replied, "No, we're here on business". And then it clicked...the Buick Open is being held this week at Warwick Hills. So then I asked the big question. Do you guys work for the Buick Open? The gentleman replied...Yes (and I stood there dumbfounded). So I asked if they were at last years event. To which he replied (while laughing), "Yes, we were in charge of handling your apple toss and covered the entire story last year. We had to do countless hours of extra work last year because of you". No way! One year later, the apple guy and his crew of Buick Open officials were reunited. It was a good laugh for everyone.

Martyrdoms of Peter and Paul are Commemorated Today

June 29, 64

The Confession of Peter ("Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God") is commemorated on 18 January, and the Conversion of Paul (on the approach to Damascus) a week later on 25 January. 29 June is the anniversary of a day around 258, under the Valerian persecution, when what were believed to be the remains of the two apostles were both moved temporarily to prevent them from falling into the hands of the persecutors.

The Scriptures do not record the deaths of Peter or Paul, or indeed any of the Apostles except for James the son of Zebedee (Acts 12:2), but they are clearly anticipated, and from an early date it has been said that they were martyred at Rome at the command of the Emperor Nero, and buried there. As a Roman citizen, Paul would probably have been beheaded with a sword. It is said of Peter that he was crucified head downward. The present Church of St Peter in Rome replaces earlier churches built on the same site going back to the time of the Emperor Constantine, in whose reign a church was built there on what was believed to be the burial site of Peter. Excavations under the church suggest that the belief is older than Constantine.

St. Augustine writes:

Both apostles share the same feast day, for these two were one; and even though they suffered on different days, they were as one. Peter went first, and Paul followed. And so we celebrate this day made holy for us by the apostles' blood. Let us embrace what they believed, their life, their labors, their sufferings, their preaching, and their confession of faith.

Memories of Niceville

Niceville, Florida brings back good memories. When I was a high school senior, we played Niceville High School in baseball and won 3 - 2. We had a better bull pen than the Tigers.

Mad Respect Son

Big shout out to everyone from Niceville, FL. Real nice. Just finished polishing up my 22's after going for a run along the bay. About to make the 30 minute commute to San Destin. Back to the grind. Will be flying home on July 9. Brother CJ will be coming down to visit all of next week. Dad, JJ, and Paris: you should all come down.

Bow down to "Money Wednesday." Good work JJ on absolutely cleaning house. Slangin sea bass.

Do work son.

Killed it

After yesterdays $330 at work, we have confirmation. Wednesdays truly are the best kept secret at Mitchell's.

Mid-Day Thought:

I woke up this morning in a perfect mood...then Microvision gave me a round house kick to the face. I guess this is what the other side of the coin looks like. Paris called me and said to ignore this bull-raid and load up on MVIS and HANS. I agree. Paris thinks MVIS is more undervalued now than ever before. Just days (maybe weeks) before inking their first cell phone deal and everyone jumps ship...asshats!

Paris the Researcher

Rise and Shine...time for another double at MJ's Slave Market. Better bank some coin today. I just enjoyed breakfast and coffee with Paris and he was sharing with me a side project he's been working on about Wood Spiders in Canada. It is rather interesting.

Position Update: Johnson Household Red Wine Consumption

Due to recent "on-site" criminal behavior, I am taking a large Short Position in the Johnson Family household wine consumption. As you can imagine, this is very upsetting news for Paris, who enjoys a tall glass of Merlot every evening while reading Entrepreneur Magazine. The good news is that I am a changed man. Here is some rare footage of the "old jeff" trying to collect money around the house.

Alexander Tokman Is Dreamy

Apparently it's a great day to buy MVIS. I just purchased 130 more shares . . . . On a side thought, due to a recent turtlehead showing itself, I am off to go drop the Cosby's off at the pool. And in case your wondering, I watched sportscenter 8 times last night and cried harder each time. I love you Justin Verlander. I love you.

Oatmeal Buy: MVIS

Just purchased 210 shares at 5.60 putting the total share count at 2424. Real nice.

Receding Hair Line?

I was just checking out my hair line with Paris. We both agree: its full and strong. Its as much of a buy as MVIS. Go long.

Back Porch Chillin

I just talked to Paris and quite frankly he is a little upset out about his lack of involvement in the oatmeal buffet. Paris' most recent demands:

- Aderol dosage increased to two per day. Also, the hot dogs taste much better when cooked
- No more rainbow colored bandanas
- He can't believe we have collectively only bought as much MVIS as we have. He thinks its crap. Paris-domus: Buy More!
- A demand of another magazine subscription to his already 4 per month! Also, isn't mail theft a felony?
- An escalator needs to be installed where the basement stairs are
- He feels left out with the 2 Buck Chuck consumption. A glass needs to be poured into the upstairs toilet nightly so he can be part of the group.

He has just moved from the back porch to the kitchen floor. He's feeling good.

The Calf Path - A Poem

One day through the primeval wood
A calf walked home as good calves should;
But made a trail all bent askew,
A crooked trail as all calves do.
Since then three hundred years have fled,
And I infer the calf is dead.
But still he left behind his trail,
And thereby hangs my moral tale.
The trail was taken up next day
By a lone dog that passed that way;
And then a wise bell–wether sheep
Pursued the trail o'er vale and steep,
And drew the flock behind him, too,
As good bell–wethers always do.
And from that day, o'er hill and glade,
Through those old woods a path was made.
And many men wound in and out,
And dodged and turned and bent about,
And uttered words of righteous wrath
Because 'twas such a crooked path;
But still they followed – do not laugh - The first migrations of that calf,
And though this winding wood-way stalked
Because he wobbled when he walked.
This forest path became a lane
That bent and turned and turned again;
This crooked lane became a road,
Where many a poor horse with his load
Toiled on beneath the burning sun,
And thus a century and a half
They trod the footsteps of that calf.
The years passed on in swiftness fleet,
The road became a village street;
And this, before men were aware,
A city's crowded thoroughfare.
And soon the central street was this
Of a renowned metropolis;
And men two centuries and a half
Trod in the footsteps of that calf.
Each day a hundred thousand rout
Followed this zigzag calf about
And o'er his crooked journey went
The traffic of a continent.
A hundred thousand men were led
By one calf near three centuries dead.
They followed still his crooked way.
And lost one hundred years a day,
For thus such reverence is lent
To well-established precedent.
A moral lesson this might teach
Were I ordained and called to preach;
For men are prone to go it blind
Along the calf-paths of the mind,
And work away from sun to sun
To do what other men have done.
They follow in the beaten track,
And out and in, and forth and back,
And still their devious course pursue,
To keep the path that others do.
They keep the path a sacred groove,
Along which all their lives they move;
But how the wise old wood-gods laugh,
Who saw the first primeval calf.
Ah, many things this tale might teach —But I am not ordained to preach.

How to Lend Money

We all will encounter situations when a friend or family member will ask us for money. Here is how one person responded.

“The good man takes pity and lends”, says Psalm 111. So when a friend of mine asked me to lend him $50 because a check had arrived late, I knew what I had to do.

But how to do it? Lending money and borrowing money are good ways of losing friends. Here’s the solution that leapt into my mind at that moment. It worked then, and I’ve told other people about it, and it seems to work for them too.

The trouble with lending is that the money needs to be paid back. If he doesn’t pay, has he forgotten, or is he temporarily unable to pay, or is he cynically gambling that I won’t remember? If he has genuinely forgotten, and I tactfully don’t remind him, it will be awkward in a year’s time when neither of us can remember whether he’s paid me back or not. If he can’t pay, and I do remind him, I will cause trouble and embarrassment. And so it goes on…

I didn’t lend him the money. I told him: “Here is a gift of $50. I shall make up for that gift by giving $50 less to church collections over the next month or two. When you are ready to repay me, don’t pay me, but give £50 extra to a church collection”.

So I get paid back without any worries. My friend pays back to God whenever he is able to do so. I don’t need to worry about when he’ll do it or whether he’ll do it: that is between him and God and it’s none of my business.

My friend got his money and our friendship survived.

It's Raining Money

No thoughts for the day, just pure MVIS joy. Gonna go get dark. Slater.

First Thought of Day

1. Never buy real estate in Nebraska.
2. If we had more money, we could all retire thanks to MVIS.
3. No worries though, I am going to rob a bank dressed up as a cow. MOOOOOOOO!
4. Dad's favorite color is the whole rainbow (he's gay!)
5. All women should be required to sign a 'weight prenuptial' agreement . . . . if they go over 130 pounds, then they better start packing.

Now for my final thought of the day that is a thought about relationships and life:

"The seasaw just doesn't work when one person weighs heavier than the other."

Late Day Thought

I wish I had a million dollars to buy MVIS with. While the market was getting its head chopped off today, MVIS was lounging in the shade eating Papaya and sipping on a tall cool Budweiser. Life is easy for the future King of Tech.

MJ Getting Fast Food

Party-Size Bag of Oats

Less than 2 weeks until The Fray tour bus parks at Pine Knob. You better have backstage passes and cold beers waiting (we'll bring a party-size bag of oats and hot water).

The Oatmeal Cosby's

You know it's going to be a great day when the first thing you do when you wake up is go drop the Cosby's off at the pool and oatmeal comes out. Then I turn on the satellite internet and MVIS is getting slammed. I don't know whats worst. Oprah's addiction for donuts or my addiction for bicep curls. 1001 . . . 1002 . . . 1003. Anyways, life on the road is good as long as I'm making money. However without money, how am I suppose to find a veternarian. A vet for my huge pythons, cause they are 'sick.'

Currently in Colorado.

Covestor.com

Just signed up with the site. Its brand new and it basically tracks your own real life market moves. Based on your performance, you can eventually create a 'Following' for yourself that actually earns you money. I'm a big fan.

As for MVIS, its been hovering in the mid-5.40's on very low volume. The warrants are down close to 4% as the price creeps lower to the 5.30 limit. Management is aware. They will do what needs to be done to release the $35 million.

Off to the Fish Market where the world may end.

Late Day Thought

I just ordered oatmeal at the Mobile Lounge and am drinking a bottle of Jones Soda (M.F. Grape Flavor). What does M.F. stand for? No wonder the stock is plummeting.

Bang Camaro

Great News. They will be performing at the Stars & Stripes Festival in Mount Clemens, MI. The show is June 29th. If this wasn't good enough, admission is free.

THE Wii

Sony moved 82,000 PS3's in the U.S. in the month of April. Not so good considering Nintendo moved 360,000 Wii's during the same period. Japan has just released their sales figures for April and the disparity only widened. The Wii outsold the PS3 250,000 to 50,000. Nintendo has complete focus on gaming, this is what they do. Sony's focus is divided amongst gaming, electronics, pictures, and music. While their gaming products are decent, there is no comparison to the domination being thrown down by Nintendo. A year ago their stock was 19.79. They closed today at 44.40. The incline has been steady and the demand is high. Easy money.

MJ's Most Recent Interview

The market is slightly down today. JSDA is down 4%. Alioto should use his reserves to buy more. MVIS is holding steady. Here is actual video feed from MJ's most recent interview:

Yes Sir

I missed my Steel Cut Oats this morning. Major problem. I am consuming massive quantities of coffee at a light speed pace. Off to the Market. Sheed will rally the troops tonight as LeBron continues to whine.

I am becoming increasingly sold on Jones Soda. They have already inked an exclusive contract with the Seattle Seahawks for the next five years, beating out Coke. Rumor is the Bengals are next.

Position Update: Johnson Household Wine Consumption

After recent analysis, the "Quaker Express" is going Long on the Johnson Family Red Wine Consumption. The downstairs trash can is littered with empty bottles of 3 buck chuck. I expect near term growth in wine consumption with big gains in fridge space.

Quick Alert: MVIS Short Seller Gets a Beatdown

So Whoanwy

Life is lonely at the Oatmeal Buffet. With 3 administrators and little blog action. Where's the love? I like to think the lack of interest is attributed to a boring day on wallstreet. Or maybe Cinnamon Sprinkles fell off the face of a mountain while biking with a group of gay ninjas. However it is worth noting that "Father Johnson" HAS received an invite to contribute to the blog--Developing.

Currently keeping an eye on HLYS, HANS, MVIS, BWLD, and JSDA.
