Ask.com seeks makeover as women's site

Dad's favorite search engine takes a turn...no homo.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - In a dramatic about-face, Ask.com is abandoning its effort to outshine Internet search leader Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) and will instead focus on a narrower market consisting of married women looking for help managing their lives.

Let me say for the record that I find that in my instances, Ask.com is a better search engine than Google. I am one of the few men who found Ask.com more helpful than Google. I am sorry to hear this distressing report.
